2nd in the British Men’s Free Skating Championship on two occasions 1946 British Dance Champion (all with his partner Jean Phethean) 1948 British Dance Champion 1949 British Dance Champion 1950 British Dance Champion Multi times, British Pairs Champion (with his partner Jean) International Events1946 European Pairs Champion (again all with his partner Jean) 1949 World Dance Champion 1949 World Pairs Champion 1950 European Dance Champion Ken also passed his Gold Tests in Dance, Figures and Free Skating and Pair Skating Skating Offices and Administration posts held Ken became a member of the National Skating Association of Great Britain in 1942, 70 years He became a Gold standard British Judge in 1952/3 He was a member of the Committee of Artistic Roller Skating (C.A.R.S.) He held the position of Chairman of Judges for some years for the Federation He has also been a World and European Judge for many years Honours Ken and his partner, Jean Phethean, were presented to Her Majesty The Queen in 1979 on the Centenary of the National Skating Association of Great Britain, for his services to Roller Skating |
