Ken became a member of the National Skating Association of Great Britain in 1942, 70 years

He became a Gold standard British Judge in 1952/3

He was a member of the Committee of Artistic Roller Skating (C.A.R.S.)
He held the position of Chairman of Judges for some years for the Federation
He has also been a World and European Judge for many years

Honours

Ken and his partner, Jean Phethean, were presented to Her Majesty The Queen in 1979 on the Centenary of the National Skating Association of Great Britain, for his services to Roller Skating
